Luxembourg gets more and more involved in the Biotechnology sector, with the government fostering investments and the recent creation of a bio-bank. While already involved in the past, MNKS follows the tune and had the opportunity to extend its experience in the field.
Our team assists clients with respect to the protection of pharmaceutical products, commercialisation of medical device, clinical trials and the implementation of corporate structure to host biotechnology and healthcare products and services.
Work includes a wide range of IP legal services (from technology transfers through to IP licensing), advice with respect to marketing authorisation applications and related litigation (mainly trademark and patent disputes).
The team has also been advising clients who whished to implement an IP structure to benefit from the new IP Box regime, allowing to get more out of the value of their IP assets, essentially through licensing arrangements.
